CLEVELAND — Gas prices have surged in Cleveland over the last week.
New data released by GasBuddy early Monday shows Cleveland’s average is now $3.37 per gallon after rising 31.3 cents. Prices are now 22.4 cents higher than a month ago and 14.6 cents higher than a year ago.
Drivers in Akron are paying an average of $3.39 after a sharp jump of 33.2 cents in the last week.

Across the country, the national average has risen 3.4 cents in the last week to $3.12. That’s down 2.1 cents from a month ago and 18.3 cents lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy. Diesel prices are averaging $3.65 nationally after a decline of 2.0 cents in the last week.
