‘Noisy neighbour’ air-conditioning irks Glebe residents

Around a certain stretch of Bronson Avenue, there is a high-pitched noise in the air. John Crump describes it as a “high-pitched whine and roar.” Article content

“Eventually, it’ll make you a bit crazy having to listen to this stuff all the time,” he said when he went to the nearby street to have another listen. The sound stretches out to nearby houses, including some located on Glebe, Clemow and Powell avenue. Article content Article content

The culprit is a new, neighbouring 17-storey apartment building, The Clemow, at Bronson and Carling Avenue. Promising luxury hotel living to adults aged 55 and over, it opened in fall 2024.
