The National Hurricane Center on Monday continued to track Tropical Storm Fernand in the open Atlantic while also eyeing a system entering the Caribbean with a low chance to form into the season’s next tropical depression or storm.
As of the NHC’s 5 a.m. advisory, the center of Fernand was located about 360 miles east-northeast of Bermuda moving north-northeast at 12 mph with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph. Tropical-storm-force winds extend out 60 miles.
