The Aspen Fire Protection District submitted language for two ballot questions to the Pitkin County Clerk and Recorder as fires continue to spark along the Western Slope.

The AFPD board approved the ballot language during a special meeting on July 24 for a new 0.5% sales tax and the extension of a mill levy (0.24 mills).
