“Perfection is boring. It’s a lie that art doesn’t need to uphold.”

That’s how the ceramicist Christina Roig starts her artist statement for her new show at Aspen Collective. An artist’s reception will be held today from 6-10 p.m.

Roig is a Puerto Rican artist and curator based in Aspen. She is in her early 20s and part of a movement of young artists that Aspen Collective owner and curator DJ Watkins has been championing at his gallery.
