ST. LOUIS - A man was killed Sunday evening after a shooting in north St. Louis.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), the shooting happened around 8:40 p.m. on the 5000 block of Goodfellow Boulevard in north St. Louis' Walnut Park West neighborhood.

A man was left dead after the shooting, SLMPD said. Homicide detectives have been requested and an investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
