A Tennessee man that’s been accused of organizing the broad daylight killing of rapper Young Dolph at a Memphis bakery in November 2021 has been acquitted.

A jury found Hernandez Govan, 45, not guilty of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in connection with the killing of the “100 Shots” rapper, born Adolph Thornton, Jr.

Prosecutors didn’t accuse Govan of pulling the trigger but argued he directed the gunman, who then carried out the crime, per Metro .

The jury rejected that theory despite testimony from one of the admitted shooters, who said Govan hired him and arranged the killing.

Also included in the prosecution’s case was the testimony of Cornelius Smith, Jr., who admitted to being one of the two men who shot Dolph.
