U.S. Ambassador to France Charles Kushner, father of Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner, has been summoned by the French government to appear before the foreign ministry after a letter Kushner wrote accusing the French of antisemitism was made public Sunday.
In the letter, Kushner accused Emmanuel Macron's government of fueling antisemitism by announcing it will recognize a Palestinian state. The letter echoed a similar statement issued by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu which suggested Macron was stoking antisemitism.
"I write out of deep concern over the dramatic rise of antisemitism in France and the lack of sufficient action by your government to confront it," Kushner wrote.
