A major car brand has been slammed over a stop-drive recall which has kept 120,000 road users off roads. The Labour Party Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander has slammed car maker Stellantis over the recall process.

Ms Alexander written to Stellantis regarding her "serious concerns" about the "stop-drive" notice issued by the brand in June. Stellantis warned that owners of certain Citroen and DS Automobiles vehicles could have faulty airbags installed.

The Transport Secretary has called on Citroen and DS Automobiles' parent company, Stellantis, to introduce "immediate steps" to improve the recall process.
