A person who was working at the Yale Golf Couse in New Haven died last week when he came into contact with an electrical wire that came down during storms, according to Yale.
They said the man, a contractor employed by Eastern Land Management, came into contact with an electrical wire downed by a fallen tree on Thursday evening and suffered fatal injuries.

“Yale offers its deepest condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased,” Yale said in a statement.
The golf course has been closed since 2023 and it is being restored, according to the university.
