Firefighters from Los Angeles city and county fire departments Monday battled a stubborn outside debris fire at a vehicle storage yard that extended to fully involve a pair of Compressed Natural Gas fuel trucks in the Vermont Vista neighborhood of South Los Angeles.
Fire crews responded at 3:26 a.m. to 11512 S. Vermont Ave., north of the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway, at a vehicle storage yard that threatened nearby storage trucks, said LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The fire closed all lanes of the westbound 105 for more than an hour.
NBC4 reported the fire took nearly two hours to extinguish with nearly 60 firefighters.
No injuries were reported.
