Groceries feel more expensive than they've ever been.
Tariffs, inflation and environmental disasters have led to huge price increases for some foods.
Specifically, beef is the most expensive it has ever been, with prices increasing 10.6% over the last year. Eggs, too, have seen a massive price jump of 27% from June 2024 to June 2025. Grocery prices more generally have increased by 2.4% during the same time period, according to the United States Department of Agriculture .
