After its smash-hit production of Disney’s "The Little Mermaid" closed last weekend, Playhouse Stage is plunging back under the sea with its production of Disney’s "Moana Jr.," with six performances slated this weekend, Aug. 21-24.

Directing the production is the great musical theater actor Lancelot Douglas, who commanded attention as Jud Fry in the Park Playhouse production of "Oklahoma!" earlier this summer. This will mark his first time directing a mainstage production, and I was lucky to get a chance to ask him five questions while he corralled a cast of 35 littles into what will surely be a captivating performance.
