The name of this ceremony is a mouthful: The African American Film Critics Association TV Awards. Since their critics cover both, technically the org could be the AAFTVCA, but that’s terrible and reads like a parody of an IKEA end table. I feel for everyone, trying to come up with catchy acronyms or names for things. Sometimes you just need a lot of words, and that’s that.
