Most of the patients taken to Rochester and Buffalo-area hospitals after Friday's crash on the New York State Thruway have been released.

There were 54 people total on the bus at the time of the incident — 52 passengers and two employees of the tour bus company. Here's which hospitals received patients from the crash and their status as of Aug. 25, according to hospital officials.

Erie County Medical Center (as of Aug. 25): 21 patients total; 11 discharged, nine in stable condition remain admitted and one in stable condition remains in the hospital's Observation Unit.
