Richardson ISD is expected to exceed student enrollment numbers estimated by the district’s demographer, Superintendent Tabitha Branum said.

Branum updated the board of directors on enrollment and other items related to the start of the 2025-26 school year during the Aug. 22 board meeting.

Branum said there were 36,278 students enrolled in the district at the start of the school, slightly higher than the 36,267 enrolled last year.

“We are very much on trend to beat our demographer’s projection on enrollment for 2025-26,” Branum said.
