IOWA CITY, Iowa. ( KCRG /Gray News) - A man in Iowa is accused of taking off his belt, yelling racial slurs and threatening to “lynch” a victim at a park, according to authorities.
According to a criminal complaint, 42-year-old Steven Cullett of Davenport is charged with first-degree harassment following an incident on Clinton Street in Iowa City.
On Saturday evening, Cullett allegedly walked up to a victim unprovoked and made several threats toward them.
The victim reported that Cullett said, “I’m going to kill you,” and “I’m going to lynch you.”
During the incident, Cullett also took off his belt and approached the victim while yelling racial slurs.
