A new film centered around Kobe Bryant is coming from Warner Brothers.

The movie will center around the late NBA star's draft-day journey that landed him with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1996, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed .

"With the 8th Pick" is the title of the movie, which Alex Sohn and Gavin Johannsen have written the spec screenplay for. A director, cast members and release details have not yet been revealed. Producers include Tim and Trevor White for Star Thrower Entertainment and Ryan Stowell and Gotham Chopra for Religion of Sports .

The film will focus on the New Jersey Nets and former general manager John Nash. The team, which now plays in Brooklyn , held the eighth pick in the 1996 draft and considered drafting Bry
