The 2025 college football season is already underway with the big first week of games coming up on Saturday, August 30. For the Iowa Hawkeyes, it will be a chance to get back on track after a disappointing 2024 campaign.

Kirk Ferentz and company put in a lot of work during the offseason. One of the biggest issues for the team last year was at the quarterback position.

To help fix those issues, Ferentz went out into the transfer portal and brought in two intriguing names. Both Mark Gronowski and Hank Brown were added in transfer additions from South Dakota State and Auburn respectively.
