MISSOULA — Success has catapulted Scobey to a higher level and it's showing in preseason workouts.
The Spartans might just be ready to take over for Fairview as the top team in Montana 8-man football. Scobey gave the two-time defending state champion Warriors their toughest test in the playoffs last year and Fairview will be hard-pressed to three-peat with a lot of new faces and a new coach in former Montana Grizzly wideout Ben Hardy.
"Our expectations are high — we've got so many guys coming back from last year," Scobey 12-year coach Brock Berryhill said.
