Maryland Gov. Wes Moore (D) mocked President Trump for the commander-in-chief's claim that the governor privately told him that he’s the greatest president of his lifetime.

Trump spoke to reporters from the Oval Office on Monday, recalling his meeting with Moore at the Army-Navy football game in December that took place in Landover, Md., at FedEx Field, home to the Washington Commanders. He claimed that Moore hugged him and shook his hand and told him, “You’re the greatest president of my lifetime.”

Trump said he told Moore that it was nice of him to say that, and he wanted him to say it publicly but understood he couldn’t.

Moore quickly responded in a post on X on Monday, writing “lol” in response to a video of Trump speaking.
