France has summoned Charles Kushner, Ivanka Trump’s father-in-law and the US ambassador to the country, after he wrote to President Emmanuel Macron alleging he hasn’t done enough to combat antisemitism.

The French foreign ministry said it was shocked by Kushner’s scathing take on Macron’s stances, calling it “unacceptable” and ordering the ambassador to appear Monday at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

The ministry said Kushner’s allegations were in clear violation of international law and the obligation not to interfere with the internal affairs of another country. 4
