FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Gray News) - Police said there is “no evidence” of an active shooter at the University of Arkansas.

According to an alert from the university , an active shooter was reported at the Mullins Library on Monday afternoon.

The alert reads:

“RazALERT Emergency Notification: Avoid the area of Mullins Library due to an active shooter reported. Avoid. Deny. Defend.”

However, shortly after, investigators said they found no evidence of a shooting.

Fayetteville police said in a statement :

“At approximately 12:30 PM this afternoon, the Fayetteville Police Department was called to assist the University of Arkansas Police Department at a report of an active shooter at David W Mullins Library on the University of Arkansas campus.
