The Soo Greyhounds will open training camp this week with a 63-player roster that features 37 forwards, 20 defencemen, and six goaltenders.

Of that group, 17 skaters return from last year’s team, including five defencemen and 11 forwards.

Headlining the newcomers are two of the club’s import selections from the 2025 CHL import draft — Slovak forward Tobias Zvolensky and Czech defender Jakub Winkelhofer.

Last year’s lone import, Czech blueliner David Holub, will not return. And while the Hounds used a first-round pick in June to draft Hungarian forward Domán Kristof Szongoth, his name is absent from the camp roster.
