ATLANTA — A leading state Democrat has entered the race for attorney general, announcing a 2026 campaign on Monday.
State Rep. Tanya Miller, currently the chair the Georgia House Democratic Caucus, is making the run at state office under the banner of "making our state safer and the Attorney General’s office more responsive than ever, to everyone, not just the powerful few."
In a release, her campaign highlighted her experience as a civil rights attorney and former prosecutor and said she has focused her career on "fighting for victims, protecting families and standing up to Goliaths on behalf of Georgia’s taxpayers."
