RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - John Reid is predicting the next lieutenant governor of Virginia will have a lot on their plate, especially when the Virginia General Assembly is in session.
“It’s likely the most controversial issues in the state, that nobody can figure out, could wind up in a tie and whoever is sitting in this chair will be making that judgment,” said John Reid, the Republican candidate for Virginia lieutenant governor.
Reid acknowledged how policies coming from The White House are impacting the commonwealth.
“I mean the folks in northern Virginia who’ve lost their jobs, they’re really worried, and I don’t blame them for being worried. And so you need a lieutenant governor who’s not just going to sit and have cocktails at the Capitol,” said Reid.
