Team Sask diver Lila Steward and para athletic sprinter Brendan Cote-Williamson were the flag bearers at the Canada Summer Games closing ceremonies on Aug 24.

Stewart, who won three gold medals in diving at the games, said she felt proud to serve as a representative for both her province and teammates.

“I think it’s super special. I feel honoured to represent the Saskatchewan flag and represent my province,” she said.

“It was super fun being in the village and having the whole Team Sask behind me, with other sports coming and watching our events. To come away with medals is such an honour and I’m so proud to have done so well this week.”
