One day before the 30th anniversary of Heather Teague's disappearance, Kentucky State Police Monday morning exhumed the body of Marvin Ray "Marty" Dill: the only official suspect ever named in the case.

KSP spokesman Trooper Corey King confirmed the exhumation to the Courier & Press Monday afternoon. He was said it was for "DNA purposes" connected to the Teague investigation.

Sarah Teague, Heather's mother, said no one informed her ahead of time. She only found out when a woman randomly messaged her on Facebook Monday morning and told her what was happening.

She said someone in the woman's family was apparently a gravedigger, and they'd been contacted to do the job.
