Hamilton police continue to investigate an east-end collision that left a woman dead .
Police previously said in a media release that emergency crews were called to a crash involving a vehicle and a mobility scooter at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Grosvenor Avenue South around 5 p.m. on Aug. 22.
The driver of the mobility scooter, a 62-year-old Hamilton woman, was transported to the hospital, where she later died of her injuries.
While police initially released few details on the crash, investigators have confirmed to The Spectator that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is “co-operating with the investigation.”
The intersection of Maple and Grosvenor is a four-way, stop sign-controlled intersection, according to police.
