ST. LOUIS — Authorities have charged a teen in the killing of a man early this month.

Tyrell Pearson, 19, of Florissant, was charged on Saturday in the homicide this month of Jermaine Williams Jr.

Officers were called to the 5600 block of Hebert Street on Aug. 2 after reports of a vehicle crash.

There, they found Williams, 20, shot and killed in an overturned car.

Williams, of Florissant, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Charging documents said Pearson set up a "marijuana transaction" with Williams, went with others to meet him, where the marijuana was stolen and Williams shot and killed.
