The Detroit Lions are waiving wide receiver Jackson Meeks, according to a report from the Detroit News’ Nolan Bianchi.

Meeks made a very strong impression during the preseason, leading the team with 176 receiving yards on 11 catches. He also found the endzone twice and played a good amount of special teams both in training camp and during the preseason.

Despite that, the Lions have a very crowded wide receiver room, and this likely means they are carrying no more than six players at that position. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Kalif Raymond, Isaac TeSlaa, and Tim Patrick are all expected to make the team.
