A strong cold front brought unseasonably cooler temperatures to Central Alabama. We will experience highs and lows around 5-10 degrees below average throughout the week. This is a rare treat for the last week of August!

Tonight: partly cloudy and less humid. It will be cooler with lows ranging from the upper 50s to the lower 60s.

A second cold front will push in reinforcing cooler, less humid air on Tuesday. It will be mostly cloudy with a few sprinkles, and high temperatures will struggle to reach the upper 70s.

Tuesday night will be partly cloudy and unseasonably cool, with possible record lows in the upper 50s to 60°. The record low for Birmingham is 58° set back in 1968.
