MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The NCAA has filed an appeal seeking to overturn the temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction granted to four West Virginia University football players which awarded them eligibility for the 2025 football season.

The appeal does not, at this point, reverse that decision, meaning that as of now, the four players -- Robinson, Jeffrey Weimer, Tye Edwards and Justin Harrington -- are still eligible to practice with and play for WVU. That, of course could change at any moment if the court makes another ruling or hears additional arguments from the NCAA.

WVU continues to emphasize that it is not a plaintiff in this case, and as such will not be commenting on developments.

The case is one of many, spread across four district courts, seeking additional year(s)
