After signing a contract with the New Orleans Saints this offseason, the team will move on and cut running back Cam Akers. According to the breaking news, the Saints are releasing Akers after failing to make the final roster cuts right before the 2025 campaign. Head Coach Kellen Moore admits it wasn't an easy decision, as Akers still has a lot of gas in the tank. The Saints originally brought him in to salvage the backfield room behind star Alvin Kamara, but they feel comfortable with Kendre Miller and Clyde Edwards-Helaire moving forward.
