The owners of a now-closed shoreline daycare and its former employee are facing a pair of lawsuits -- one asking for $10 million -- in connection with a pair of abuse cases, NBC Connecticut Investigates has learned.
The lawsuits were filed in Middlesex County Superior Court in Middletown.

Both lawsuits allege that an employee of the Killingworth Kid's Center inappropriately touched boys at the daycare and management knew but did not act.
The daycare surrendered its operating license last year after an investigation by the Office of Early Childhood and the state Department of Children and Families concluded sexual abuse and neglect did occur and one of the reports said a staffer “...inappropriately touched children.
