LODI, Wis. (WKOW) -- This week marks 27 years since a Lodi family died in their home. The Columbia County Sheriff's office said their deaths were suspicious and are still searching for answers.

On August 22, 1998, the Columbia County Sheriff's Office and Lodi Fire department responded to a 911 call on Clar Mar Drive.

That's when they found Cheryl Cady dead in her home, along with her two children; Cory Cole and Bria Meitner.

"Ever since that day, the detectives from the sheriff's office have felt that foul play was involved," said Detective Capt. David Clark. "That somebody had caused their deaths by carbon monoxide poisoning."

That carbon monoxide poisoning came from a vehicle in the garage. It was later determined, it was not an accident.
