Another Surrey business has been targeted in the recent string of extortion-related shootings.

According to Surrey Police, the owner of a business located in the 12800 block of 80 Avenue contacted police Monday morning to report what appeared to be damage from gunfire.

There was damage to the door of the business, which investigators determined was the result of shots being fired at some point over the weekend. There were no injuries to anyone inside the business or adjacent businesses.

Officers remained on site throughout Monday collecting evidence and speaking with nearby businesses to review security footage.

“Investigators believe that the motive may be extortion related,” said Surrey police in a statement.
