KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. – A crash occurred on I-90 near Easton today, resulting in the death of a Chattaroy woman, Washington State Patrol (WSP) said in a release.

WSP said Elizabeth Lukas, 21, was driving westbound on I-90 at milepost 70 when her vehicle failed to negotiate a curve. The car struck a jersey barrier and ended up in the median on its side.

Lukas was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. She was pronounced deceased at the scene, the release added.

The cause of the accident was determined as failure to negotiate a curve.
