COLUMBUS, Ohio — There are about 8,200 new Buckeyes calling The Ohio State University home in the new school year. The university held its convocation ceremony Monday morning.

Before the ceremony, 10TV talked with Ohio State President Ted Carter Jr. about the new year and some of the changes that have been made to fall in line with state and federal demands.

“Of course SB1, we did an amazing amount of work to have that all put in place by June 27. There's still some things that will come later,” said Carter. “We've communicated extensively to our faculty , to our students and we're ready to go.”

One change that is for certain: the Center for Belonging and Social Change is now the Buckeye Commons. It was changed earlier this year.
