Dozens of parents and students gathered Monday in the Aliquippa School District’s Black Box Theater, where school officials gave an update following a bus crash over the weekend that led to the hospitalization of more than 20 on board.

The students — who sat together in a group in the center of the theater — included one in a leg cast, one in an arm sling and another in a wrist brace.

The meeting came two days after a bus carrying the Aliquippa Jr. High School football team was involved in a single-vehicle crash on Shaffer Road in Economy on its way to a game with Pine-Richland on Saturday morning.
