A man who was found dead in a car parked outside South Shore Hospital over the weekend has been identified as a 27-year-old from Maine, authorities announced Monday.

Declan Perry of Portland, Maine was discovered in the backseat of a 2019 black Honda Civic parked in front of the hospital’s emergency room on Saturday afternoon, the Plymouth County District Attorney’s office said in a statement .

A hospital employee found Perry, wrapped in multiple blankets secured by duct tape, according to the DA.

Weymouth police were contacted around 2:07 p.m., and Perry was pronounced dead at 2:15 p.m., the DA’s office said.
