AUBURN, Calif. —

Auburn police are asking for help to find a 44-year-old man who was reported missing.

Police said Monday that Hildefonso DeJesus Carlos was last seen Aug. 20 at the Awful Annie's restaurant in Auburn where he worked. He was wearing a green shirt and gray shorts.

"We are extremely concerned for his safety," Auburn police said on Facebook.

Police told KCRA 3 that his vehicle was found two days after he went missing with most of his belongings inside.
