STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A school safety agent is facing charges of driving while intoxicated after allegedly causing a multi-vehicle collision in Stapleton Sunday night, according to police.
Julian Joseph, 32, of Graniteville, was operating a blue 2020 Alfa Romeo in the vicinity of Sands and Bay streets when he allegedly collided with a white 2016 Nissan van at around 8:35 p.m., causing it to then strike another vehicle, police said.
The impact caused extensive damage to both primary vehicles involved, leaving the Nissan van’s bumper completely detached and its rear door dented. The Alfa Romeo sustained significant front-end damage, according to the criminal complaint.
