(KTAL/KMSS) — With a rising fanbase, 'KPop Demon Hunters' director Maggie teases what fans might expect from a possible sequel.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Maggie Kang discussed ideas for a potential sequel and some of the challenges that went into making a film that would become a pop culture phenomenon. The action-fantasy film, directed by Kang and Chris Appelhans, follows a world-renowned K-pop girl group, HUNTR/X, as they secretly fight demons on the side.

Although the film became an instant hit on Netflix, Kang discussed their reasoning for not exploring the characters' origin story.
