BUNKER HILL, Ind — With a bright blue sky above, a few hundred in Indiana’s faith community raised their hands and voices in prayer outside the Miami Correctional Facility .
Those gathered prayed for immigrants in the state, as well as for the ICE agents who are tasked with detaining some in that very community as part of the country and state’s ongoing crackdown on illegal immigration.
Some of those ICE detainees are set to be housed at the Miami Correctional Facility. Others will be taken to Camp Atterbury.
When that will happen at the Miami Correctional Facility is still unknown, according to the Indiana Department of Correction. That didn’t stop faith leaders from across the state from gathering Monday outside the facility to pray against it.
“We’re concerned about the treatment of
