Alex Highsmith has been bugged by a groin injury each of the past two seasons.
It kept him out of three games in 2024 and limited his availability in training camp.
It won’t do the same to begin the regular season. Mike Tomlin confirmed to the media on Monday that Highsmith was nearly a full participant in practice on the South Side.
Asked if he will be good to go against the New York Jets, Highsmith was adamant.
“Absolutely,” the pass rusher said after practice.
Highsmith tweaked his groin on Aug. 3 and didn’t play in any of the Steelers’ three preseason games. He never missed a game prior to last year, sitting out six with two separate injuries, including the groin.
