One of Tom Brady’s old targets has been released by his new team.
Former Patriots wideout Phillip Dorsett was one of 18 players released by the Raiders on Monday afternoon.
The wide receiver won Super Bowl LIII alongside Brady — catching two touchdown passes in that playoff run — and spent three years in Foxborough. With the Patriots, Dorsett caught 77 passes for 881 yards and eight touchdowns in regular season play. He was acquired by Bill Belichick in a trade with the Colts for Jacoby Brissett.
Since leaving New England in 2020, Dorsett has bounced around the league. The 32-year-old has suited up for the Jaguars, Seahawks, Texans, and Broncos, and he’s also had stints with the Raiders and Falcons.
