It was a long 15 days for Neelya Herbert as she waited to hear any news about her lost cat Luigi, who went missing on a BC Ferries voyage, but now he’s back home with his family.
“It’s fabulous to have Luigi home again,” said Herbert. “He hasn’t lost any weight, he looks wonderful, he’s still white, he’s clean, he has no injuries.”
Luigi went missing on Aug. 9 after Herbert and her new husband were on their way home from their wedding in Port Alberni to Vernon.

Herbert first searched the vessel with crew members for her lost tuxedo cat before posting on social media asking the public for help.
