Penske Media Corp. has sold TVLine to Indianapolis-based Static Media for an undisclosed price.
The outlet launched in 2011 is a hub for all things television — news, interviews, spoilers, clips, recaps and reviews. The publication’s editor-in-chief Kimberly Roots is remaining in place along with most staff, but co-editor Matt Mitovich will step down.
TVLine was founded by writer and columnist Michael Ausiello, formerly of TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly.
Digital publisher Static Media’s 30 or so brands span food, entertainment, lifestyle, auto and health, including Jalopnik, Chowhound, The Takeout, Looper and Glam.
