Police have an out-of-state homicide suspect in custody after they taped off a section in Harrisburg City, Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo said.

Officials had taped off an area at 4th and Peffer streets since at least 4 p.m. Dauphin County dispatch would not confirm the time the incident started to PennLive, but Chardo confirmed the suspect was in custody around 5:45 p.m.

Chardo said the other people who reside in the house were accounted for, and the suspect was in the house alone.

“We’ve got a very good team, and sometimes they take a long time because you don’t want to unnecessarily exacerbate things,” Chardo said.
